Support
Write to json-sheets@engranalab.com. Include the formula or request you are using (without keys or tokens), the message you see, and your language setting. We read everything; this is a small project, so replies can take a few days.
Common problems
The formula shows a parse error (Spanish or European settings)
If the spreadsheet's locale is Spain, France, Germany, Portugal or similar, Google Sheets separates function arguments with a semicolon;, not a comma: =IMPORTJSON("https://…"; "/name,/email"). Commas inside the quotes do not change. You can check or change the locale under File → Settings.
The sidebar does not load, stays empty, or says "PERMISSION_DENIED … reading from storage"
This happens when you are signed in to several Google accounts in the same browser: Google opens the add-on with the wrong account. Use your default (first) Google account, or open the sheet in a private window where you are signed in to a single account, then open the sidebar again.
The cell shows #NAME?
The add-on is not installed or not enabled for you. Install it from the Google Workspace Marketplace, reload the sheet and try again. If someone shared the sheet with you, they may have used the add-on's functions: you need it installed too to see the results, or ask them to paste the values.
The cell shows #ERROR! with a message
The message says what failed and what to do. The most frequent ones are explained in errors and fixes.
The first time, Google asks for authorization
The add-on asks for three permissions: access to the current spreadsheet only, permission to connect to external services (to call the APIs you configure) and permission to show menus and dialogs. See what the add-on does with them.
HTTP 401 or 403
The API needs a key. Formulas cannot carry secrets: add the key in the request builder, which stores it only for you.
HTTP 429 or quota messages
The API (or Google's daily URL fetch quota) is rate limiting you. Use a larger cache= value so recalculations do not call the API again.
It is slow or times out
Apps Script stops custom functions after 30 seconds. Ask the API for less data (filters, limit parameters) or import only the columns you need.
Report a bug or suggest something
Send an email with what you expected and what happened. For a bug, the smallest example that fails is the most useful: a public URL and a formula that anybody can copy. If it is a feature you would pay for, join the Pro waitlist and tell us in the form.
